Party, Party Hand-Printed Greeting Card

"Party, Party" hand-printed greeting card. Each individual card is hand gocco screen-printed on 5"x5" 130lb French Whip cream Paper. Reads "You Animal" on the back, with lines for writing a nice note (best to use pencil so it doesn't bleed through.) Can even be framed when you are done!

Comes with one blue envelope.

---What is a Gocco print?---

Print Gocco is a small, self-contained screen printing system developed in 1977 by the Riso Kagaku Corporation (the same lovely folks that currently make the Risograph printing machines). It was created as a fun and easy way to make cards and small prints at home. The method is similar to screen printing except the screens are exposed through a thermal process (rather than photographic), and the ink is pushed through the screen with direct pressure (rather than a squeegee).

Sadly, manufacturing of the Print Gocco system was discontinued in 2008, so materials have become incredibly difficult to source, and are often finicky due to age. New Print Gocco runs are increasingly rare to find.

As one of my favorite printing methods, I am determined to find ways to continue working with the medium as long as possible, and continue to explore new ways to use the printing unit with a bit of experimentation to make it last. I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do!  :)
